The Arlington is proud to be Kent’s
smallest pub, it’s also one of the areas oldest pubs and
reputedly haunted by a former landlord. As a freehouse it
serves a variety of real ales and so it’s well worth
tracking it down to enjoy a drink or two if you’re a beer
fan.
The Cliffe Tavern High Street, St Margaret’s at Cliff

This fine 16th century
clapboard house is hugely popular due to being within
walking distance of the famous White Cliffs. The pub has a
great atmosphere as does the pretty rose garden in the
summer. The food is pretty good too with dishes such as
homemade pies as well as pasta and curries.

Being a Firkin pub you can expect the
usual selection of beers such as the ever-popular
Dogbolter and a good lively atmosphere. Its location near
the White Cliffs Experience means it’s never short of
custom.

The Eight Bells is a large Wetherspoon pub
with the usual combination of a good variety of food that is
served throughout the day and with plenty of beers to choose
from. Expect the bar to be packed on weekend evenings.

Being named after the great musician and
singer Louis Armstrong you won’t be surprised to learn
that this pub is popular as a live music venue. Sunday
nights are their jazz nights but other evenings throughout
the week feature a variety of music at this friendly pub
known also for its good food and varied selection of drinks.
